Patel waited at the school gates. Once again Chotu was nowhere to be seen. Some boys he had seen hanging around before with Chotu came out of the gates and Patel went towards them.
“Err beta, Chotu nahi hai aaj school mein?” He gave them some toffees as sweeteners.
“Uncle…uncle Chotu is ill, he has bad cold.” Munna piped up popping the toffee in his mouth.
“Oh! Okay tell him uncle was looking for him if you see him, I have got the latest remote control helicopter he wanted to see.”
“We all want to see that helicopter!” the boys chorused.
“Err yes, yes, why not, I will show you all, maybe tomorrow when Chotu is with you.”
One of the others piped up, “I will go and see him this evening and tell him, maybe we will see you again. Here tomorrow and you can bring the helicopter?”
“No, not here, tell him to meet me at the end of the road his uncle lives on. He knows where.”
Munna smiled and nodded chewing his toffee.
Jaspal sir had been on a phone call to the area administrator when his eyes fell on the gate. Who was that man standing at the gates yet again? This time he was talking to some of the boys. He had spotted him hanging around a few days ago as well. The man wasn’t a local, but he had seen him hanging around town a few times, he scratched his head and tried to remember who he had been with. It wasn’t coming to him, perhaps he should have a word with him. Finishing the call, he walked out of his office and started walking towards the gate.
Patel’s eye fell on the headmaster as he approached and he hastily said his goodbyes to the boys and slinked off as quickly as he could.
“Munna!” Jaspal sir called out to one the boys who were stood there chatting away in excited voices still, he heard whispers about flying and helicopter. The man had vanished suddenly it didn’t bode well.
Munna’s face paled. “Headmaster sir!”
“Munna who was that man and what did he want with you all?”
“He wanted ch…” Munna suddenly stopped talking as his friend pinched him hard from behind.
Whispering to him that they wouldn’t get to see helicopter if Jaspal sir found out.
“Well?” Jaspal sir crossed his arms and stared at Munna.
“Err sir he was lost he wanted to know the way to the mandir.”Munna replied hesitantly crossing his fingers behind his back.
“Haan!” they all nodded in agreement crossing their fingers behind their back.
Jaspal sir stared at their faces, which had ‘up to something’ written all over them, but as they were all in cahoots he decided to leave it. Deciding he would tell the watchman to keep vigilant for strangers instead.
“Hmm… Ok you all go straight home and remember not to talk to strangers.”
Munna grinned, err Sir how is Chotu? Will he be back tomorrow?
“I expect so, he is better.”
“Can we come and see him later?”
Jaspal sir smiled, “of-course make sure you finish your homework first.”
They all nodded and ran off to go home and finish their work quickly. If they could tell Chotu about the uncle they would get to see the helicopter along with him.
Patel growled to himself as quietly went back to his hideout. He wondered how far Pandey had got. There had been no news from him at all since that call. If he could only get this business over with before Pandey reached. Once he got his hands on Chotu, he wondered how long it would take to get the payment and how. He had to make sure that they knew he was serious otherwise he knew that he would never get the money, Maan Singh Khurana and Geet were not easy to fool. Also he had to find a full proof way to get the money dropped somewhere safe, his options were limited though, he dare not venture too far, the only place he was aware of so far was the old ruins a couple of miles from the village. He decided he should check it out then he needed to and then see Balwant who had called and said a customer had wanted a large order of booze by the end of the week. If he could get money from both schemes he was sure he would be able to get far away from Pandey.
Somewhere in the honeymoon love nest…..
Geet’s sleepy eyes opened to a view that took her breath away. Panoramic windows from ceiling to floor looked out on the dawn breaking over a sleepy turquoise sea. Pink and golden rays danced merely over the undulating waves, caressing them and waking them to a new day, much as Maan’s hands were doing to her.
“Shhhhhhh……” His hands were busy shaping her contours as they woke just as dawn was breaking on their last day in paradise. Spooned together, soft, warm and sleepy she was a sensuous feast for his hands. He shaped her spine, gently caressed her breasts, letting the warm full globes fill his hands, slowly ever so slowly as if learning her body anew his hand slipped over her flat stomach, cupping it protectively.
Perhaps there was already a life growing inside her. A life they had created through their love. In his minds eye he could see her ripe and lush with his baby. The thought almost undid him and he felt the emotion run through him like a tidal wave. She would be beautiful in pregnancy, he would cherish every moment of their journey into parenthood. They would bring up their children together, he would not let the shadows of his dark childhood fall on his baby. Instinctively his arms tightened around her. His breath hitched against her nape.
“Maan?” Aroused from sleepy state, she felt his emotion through his touch. Turning her head she stared into his face.
A gasp broke from her and she turned fully into him, “Maan? Kya hua?”
“Kuch nahi Mishty, sorry, I woke you.”
Amber looked into chocolate brown which were moist with unshed tears.
“What is it?” worry gripped her.
“Mishty I …” How could he tell her what he hoped for when he really didn’t want to go into the dark shadows of his past. His fathers drinking and affairs, his mothers sadness and depression.
His eyes dark orbs of pain, he stared into her confused face.
“Mishty…I just hope I will be a good father.” he said simply as he could.
Like the sun appearing from behind a dark thundery cloud her smile spread like sunshine across her face. Her eyes told him that she understood what he was trying to say. There was no need for him to put it into words.
“Err…Mr Maan Singh Khurana, you are very sure of your self, hmmmmm….”
A grin broke out on his face at her teasing and he gently pulled her on top of him arranging her to his satisfaction.
“Koi shaq? Don’t you know by now Mrs Mishty Maan Singh Khurana that when your husband does something, anything, he does it well!”
Happy laughter escaped her lips. Today, later on, they would head back but before that she would make the most of the time they had left here.
“Such arrogance……” grinning down at his handsome face she teased. “Well I have heard it said that Geet does things well too..” she punctuated her sentence with kisses placed over his torso. Flicking her tongue over his flat male nipples she wriggled herself against his hard frame.
“Hmmm…I think I need more evidence of her capabilities, before I give her a pass.” he rasped as her roaming lips reached a particularly sensitive part of him.
Her head lifted and her eyes filled with mirth.
“Really?” she questioned, finding the sensitive spots which knew would push him to the limit.
A loud hiss of pleasure broke from his lips and his hands threaded themselves into her hair as she relentlessly pursued a path that she knew would drive him to the brink and beyond.
“Mishty…dear god! You complete me! I want you now!” His hands lifted her over him to complete their union.
Rising up she took him into her, watching him through heated eyes as he lost himself completely in her, letting her see how totally under her spell he was, giving himself up to her completely.
Back at Gullu’s………..
It was late when they crept into Gullus house. He couldn’t turn on the lights for fear of waking Gulabo. Gullus crept in quietly used to the layout but Chandu went straight into a chair, falling over it in a spectacularly noisy fashion.
“Chandus ssshhhhhhh! Dont wakes Gulabos! Nahi tous!”
Too Late….Gulabo ran into the dark room with a torch in one hand and a cricket bat in the other. Lashing out at the both of them.
“Gulabooo!!!” Gullus screeched as the bat just missed him, “Its Mes! Yours darlings Gullus!”
But she was in no mood to listen, barely awake she was screeching like a banshee and swinging her bat in such a fashion, it would have put Tendulkar to shame.
“Saala CHOR!” She screamed at Chandu in the darkness, “Baache ko bhi chori kaarne ko leke aaya hai? Mera husband police inspector hai! Dekho aab tou mein maaza chaakha te hoon!”
“Bhabhiji mein Chandu hoon!” He screamed running through the lounge trying to find the light. “Yeh baacha nahi hai mera!”
“Hai re! Doosro ke baache ko chori sikhata hai! Take this!” she swung the bat at Chandu’s backside making him yelp in pain.
“GULABO! Its your Gullus!” He ran towards the light switch flooding the room with light to see Gulabo bent over Chandu wacking him round the head with her hand.
“Make her stop Sir!”
“Bas bas! Stops!” Gullu grabbed her hand and swung her around to face him, whipping off his hat at the same time.
“Gullu!” She gasped in astonishment, her eyes as round as saucers. “What are you wearing?”
“I was undercovers!”
She looked him up and down in his long shorts and shirt. “In a school uniform?” her tone was incredulous.
Suddenly in a fit of dramatics, she sank to the floor and stared wailing loudly, “Hai re meri kismat phooti, you will never get promotion, you ghaddha! Were you undercover in a school checking out who is stealing sweets?”
“Gulabos daaarlings! What ares you sayings? We ares trying to busts opens a alcahols rings!”
Walking away with a hurt expression in his face he helped Chandu get up. Fishing out his gun and the book from his pants and thumped them hard on the table with a sigh. The gun promptly went off the bullet just whizzing past Gulabo’s ear.
All three of them gulped. Gullus looked down at himself and shuddered at the very close call, ignoring Gulabo’s scream of fright.
“Chandu’s takes this books ands go throughs all the numbers. I wants to gets all the gangs members.”
Chandu nodded slipping the book inside his pocket.
Just then Chandu’s new phone rang.
“Sir! It has to be Balram, no one else has this number.”
Gullus grabbed Chandu and led him away from Gulabo’s histrionics. Nodding to Chandu to pick it up.
“Hello?” he said putting it on loudspeaker.
“Its Balram here, I have arranged for you maal, teen din baad come to outside the village at the old ruins I will bring the truck there. One o’clock! And don’t forget to bring the rest of the money.”
“Ok, but cant you bring it sooner?” Chandu asked at Gullus furious signing.
“No you wanted so much…” Balram grumbled.”..Shaadi manane wale ho, ke usse mein nahne wale ho?”
“Yous just brings its, donts worrys about whats we are goings to do with its idiots!” Shouted Gullus unable to help himself.
“Who was that?” Balram suddenly twigged something funny had happened.
“Errr it was just me..my phone is old it goes mad sometimes makes funny noises.” Chandu thought fast. Adding some buzz and random noise to add weight to his words.
Balram paused a moment and then grumbled, “ Ok just bring the money, all of it!”
“Ok Ok!” Chandu cut the call before Gullu said something again.
“Err can I go now Sir?” He asked hopefully as Gulabo stomped in with a murderous look in her eye at the both of them.
Gullu nodded and Chandu ran off at full speed, muttering a small prayer for Gullu to be still alive the next day.
“Gulabos darlings” he said gently, “tums dekhnas I wills get bigs Promotions!”
“You can sleep on the couch!” She screamed running off into the bedroom and shutting the door.
On a dark road at the ruins…
Patel sighed, thank god the old run down ruins were perfect for hiding Chotu for a few days if required, but he was sure it wouldn’t take that long. After all, he knew how much Geet loved her brother and sister. He wondered where Pandey had got to. Now all he had to do was get his hands on Chotu in the next day or two. He checked for the hundredth time all the numbers he had for KC offices, Maan Singh Khurana and Geet. Tomorrow he would entice Chotu away and action his plan. Time was running out!
